The Taskforce on Women and Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) serves as a global platform for member organisations to address the increasing burden of NCDs on women in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Its primary objective is to facilitate research, advocacy, and partnership development to tackle the challenges faced by women worldwide in relation to NCDs. Through active engagement, Taskforce members have made significant contributions to expanding knowledge and raising awareness about the causes and consequences of NCDs in women. This has been achieved through participation in key global health events, hosting both physical and virtual panel discussions on international health days, and developing technical guidance tools for policymakers, national health planners, and clinicians in LMICs.
We welcome organisations and groups that focus on NCDs, particularly those with an emphasis on women, to join us as members. Any organisation that aligns with the goals and interests of the Taskforce is eligible for membership. We strive for global representation and are particularly eager to engage with the voices of the younger generation. Therefore, we strongly encourage organisations working in LMICs and those working with youth to apply for membership.
If you would like to learn more about how your organisation can become a member of the Taskforce or if you are already affiliated with a member organisation and would like to explore participation opportunities, please feel free to contact us at [email protected].
